Kyle Lake

Many in the Emergent community were saddened to hear of the tragic death on Sunday of our friend, Kyle Lake.  Kyle was the pastor of University Baptist Church in Waco, Texas, an author, and a great friend of Emergent.  But, far more importantly, he was the husband of Jen, the father of three young children, and the friend of countless many. Jen's brother, Scott Gornto, is also part of the Emergent community. Please pray -- and ask your communities to pray -- for Jen and the children, for Scott and all of Kyle's friends and relatives, and for the entire UBC community.

Later in the week, we will publish some tributes to Kyle.  There will be a visitation in Waco at 6pm on Monday, and a memorial service at 10am on Tuesday.  In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials be sent to UBC at 1701 Dutton Avenue, Waco, TX 76706.
